Day 45 (Sun - 2/14)

I got in a 10K (6 miles) run this afternoon. I planned to run it as a fast pace and see what I could do expecting to be in with a 8:30 pace or so, but my legs felt like bricks. The first 5K went well, but I was definitely off pace and feeling like there was little left in the tank to pick up the second 5K. I ended the 6.05 mile run in 54:29 (9:00 miles). I think I may be hitting my first training plateau. Either that or I am overdoing the training and I am in danger of falling into grey area training (where little is gained since your body is in a constant state of recovery).

I think I will stay off the bike tomorrow and get the house reset for the week. I am due for a couple of rest days; I have the day off from work and will be taking Thursday and Friday off as a miniature staycation with the family. We are working on getting the house in order before the arrival of our second buggo, or should I say buggette.
