I got on the bike tonight. Everything felt really good after the run yesterday so I decided to push a little on the trainer. I spent 30 minutes in my 18 mph gearing then dropped into a sprint interval set. I shifted into the big ring and performed 8 sets of 20 second all out push with 10 second passive rest. When I finished that I was burning so I dropped to the middle ring and set into my 20 mph gearing for a 15 minute cool down. The 20 mph gearing felt really comfortable after sprinting in the larger ring.
I am very encouraged by the way my body seems to be recovering lately from the longer and more intense workouts. I think the diet might be taking affect. I need to hold back just a bit though. I am still in the building part of the season.
